Carroll “C.D.” Dean Boatright

October 24, 1926 – November 19, 2017

Carroll Dean Boatright, age 91, of Mena, Arkansas died Sunday, November 19, 2017 at home. He was born on Sunday, October 24, 1926 to Lemond Dawson and Bonnie Knight Boatright in Fresno, California.

C.D. served five years in the United States Navy during World War II and was very proud of his achievements and service. He spent 43 years serving the Mena area as a local carpenter running his own business. C.D. loved his family and playing the banjo. He was a lifetime member of the Elks, VFW, DAV, and the American Battleship Association. C.D. was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a great friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

C.D. is survived by two sons, William Boatright of Merkel, Texas, and Charles Boatright of Arlington, Texas; one brother Jackie Boatright of Huntsville, Texas; five grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Interment will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
