Joy Rozell Bailey Jenkins

November 19, 1933 – January 5, 2018

Joy Rozell Bailey Jenkins, age 84 of Wickes, Arkansas, died, Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Mena Regional Health System. She was born on Sunday, November 19, 1933 to Lonnie Odel and Creo Rilly Edward Reatherford in Brownfield, Texas.

Joy loved her family and spending time with the ones she cared for. She spent many years on the family farm in Zafra, Oklahoma building a working family farm on the 360 acres with her first husband, Cecil that they made together. Joy loved bird watching, playing the piano, crocheting sewing, and woodworking. She loved the Lord and always knew He would provide for her and her family. She was a member of the Wickes Church of the Nazarene. Joy was very active in her daily life and was a past board member of the Cossatot Senior Center in Wickes. Joy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Cecil Bailey; one son, Travis Bailey; one brother, Troy Reatherford; one sister, Naomi Faulkner and one grandson, Derrick Jenkins.

Joy is survived by her husband, Lacey Jenkins of Wickes; seven sons, Brian Bailey of Aurora, Colorado, Martin Bailey of Joplin, Missouri, Aaron Bailey of Dayton , Arkansas, James Jenkins of Wickes, Jason Jenkins of Wickes, Neal Jenkins of Wickes and Thomas Jenkins of Wickes; two daughters, Karen Hooper of DeKalb, Texas and Amy Davis of Verona, Missouri; one sister, Hazel Mora of Chile, South America; twenty two grandchildren, thirty great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Wickes Church of the Nazarene with Brother Jon Newlin officiating. Interment is to follow at the Bailey Cemetery in Zafra, Oklahoma. Visitation is Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena, Arkansas.
