Daniel Edward Fitzgerald age 92, of Ft. Worth, Texas passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 in Texas.
He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 3, 1925 to the late Thomas Edward Fitzgerald and the late Pauline Lois Potter Fitzgerald. Daniel was married to Patsy Yeager Hinchey Fitzgerald. Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked until he retired as a Petroleum Engineer by profession. Daniel enjoyed volunteering to help people, and took pleasure in dancing, concerts, and visiting museums. His favorite motto was, “if the circus comes to town, make sure to see the elephants”! Most of all Daniel knew how to live life to the fullest and enjoyed a good meal. Daniel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend to all. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by wife: Patsy Hinchey Fitzgerald of Ft. Worth, Texas
Son: Dan Fitzgerald and wife Rindy of Dallas, Texas
Daughters: Nancy Fitzgerald of Ft. Worth, Texas, Kitty DePetris of Dallas, Texas, and Julie Benites of Las Vegas, Nevada
Niece: Colleen Duncan
Five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Pauline Fitzgerald, first wife Janice Ann Fitzgerald, brother Thomas Fitzgerald and his wife Charlotte Fitzgerald.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
Pallbearers will be Dan Fitzgerald,Jr., Mike Benites, Nick Benites, Jesse Benites, David Matt, and Mike Barry.
