William H. Harrison Obituary

William H. Harrison age 74 of Mena, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

He was born on February 12,1944 in Mena, Arkansas to the late Dexter Harrison and the late Francis McGeorge Harrison. He was married to Beverly Chatham Harrison for 45 happy years and was a member of First United Methodist Church. William proudly served his country in the United States Navy as an Air Traffic Controller. He also worked in off -shore drilling for 30 years. William took pleasure in being outdoors on his tractor, farming and working on many of his building projects. William was a man of many talents and loved his family and spending time with children and grandchildren, for they were his pride and joy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather uncle and friend to all who knew him. He will be missed by all.

He is survived by wife: Beverly Harrison of Mena, Arkansas

Son: William Harrison, Jr of Fayetteville, North Carolina

Daughters: Carolyn Taylor and husband James of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Leanne Ferguson of Mena, Arkansas, Christy Harrison of Mena, Arkansas, and Amy Rose and husband Tim of Fayetteville, Arkansas

Grandchildren: Cody and Colt Taylor, C.J. Crowley, Emma and Anna Ferguson, Mason, Jake and Mallori Brotherton, Jakson, Harrison and Nik Rose


Great-grandchildren: Tripp and Hadleigh Taylor

Nephew: Rondal Mullen

Great nephew and niece: Thomas Mullen and Jessica Mullen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dexter and Francis Harrison, and a sister, Marie Mullen.

Funeral service will be Saturday, September 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Beasley Wood Chapel with Reverend Ann Ferris officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Beasley Wood Chapel.

Pallbearers will be C.J. Crowley, Mason Brotherton, Jake Brotherton, Tim Rose, Rondal Mullen, Thomas Mullen, Jakson Rose and Harrison Rose.
