James M. L. “Tinker” Combs, age 79, of Watson, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his home.
He was born August 28, 1939 to the late James Toga Combs and the late Tressie Mae Turner Combs. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Romine. Tinker was a self-employed business man. He loved hunting and fishing and the outdoors in general. He enjoyed watching western movies, reading western books, and took great enjoyment in boxing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Survivors are wife: JoAnn Combs of Watson, Oklahoma
Daughter: Jamie Chambers and husband Sean of Fort Worth, Texas
Grandchildren: Elizabeth Chambers and Elena Chambers
Friend and Nephew: Don Hovator of Mena, Arkansas
Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Tressie Combs, his brothers J. D. “PeeWee” Combs, and James LeRoy Combs, his sisters Theresa Corene Myers, Helen LaBlue, and Juanita Stone.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove, Arkansas with Brother Ronnie Tilley officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
