Michael Keech Obituary

Michael Keech, age 65, of Opal, Arkansas, died, Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his home. He was born on July 11, 1957 to John Keech and Mary Carpenter Keech in Tulsa, Oklahoma.


Michael had a quiet laid back personality. He had a sly sense of humor, and moments of surprising hilarity. He loved to fish and racing cars in his younger days. Michael liked educating people about snakes and was Vice President of the Tulsa Snake Club. He was very creative and an incredibly talented artist. His artwork can be seen all throughout town, the murals in Papa's and The Branding Iron. Michael really enjoyed the outdoors and was always busy doing something outside or working on a new piece of art. His two daughters and loving wife were always the guiding light in his life and filled his heart with joy until his last day. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Ratch. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.


Michael is preceded in death by his father, John Keech.


Michael is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Lena Keech of Opal; two daughters and son in law, Tamara and Thomas Cox of Land O' Lakes, Florida, and Heather Keech of Land O' Lakes, Florida; three grandchildren, Kaylyn Brown, Aiyanna Keech, and T.W. Cox; two brothers, Rick and Cindy Keech of Coweeta, Oklahoma, Kevin and Christina Pumphrey; one sister, Lisa and Bobby Simpson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.


A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena, Arkansas with Pastor Bill Lawson officiating. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
