Shane Garrie Deramus, age 48, of Acorn, Arkansas passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born to Dan Deramus and Linda Corley Deramus on July 10, 1971 in Mena, Arkansas. He proudly served his country and was a veteran of the United States Army. Shane worked for Street and Performance, worked for the Acorn School District, and owned S&S Detail; he was really a jack of all trades. He loved the outdoors and liked to build things with his hands. Most of all he was a family man and was fiercely proud of his 3 children and his new granddaughter. He was a loving son, father, grandfather and a friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.

Jerin Bob Ferguson

Jerin Bob Ferguson, age 40, of Mena, Arkansas died Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Board Camp. He was born on Saturday, December 15, 1979 to Robert Lynn and Deanna Jean Kelly Ferguson in Mena, Arkansas.

Jerin was a fun loving, life of the party fellow that loved his family and especially the light of his life his daughter, Patience. Jerin join the United States Army National Guard at the age of 16 and upon graduating from Mena High School he was called upon to serve his country in Kuwait in the Southern Watch phase of Desert Storm. Jerin was very proud of his time in the military. He loved going deer, turkey and coon hunting, going fishing and going back roading. Jerin was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, uncle and a great friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

Jerin is survived by his daughter, Patience Ferguson of Mena; his parents, Bob and Deanna Ferguson of Mena; his brothers and sisters in law, Roy and Mandy Ferguson of Mena and Kyle and Nikki Ferguson of Mena; his sister and brother in law, Tara and Tim Milham of Mena; several aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mary J. Anderson Kesterson, age 86, of Ashdown, passed away May 29, 2020 in Ashdown, Arkansas.

Mary was born on November 30, 1933 in San Diego, California to the late Walter William Anderson, Sr. and Della Mae Hannah. She was married for many years to the love of her life, Horace Kesterson. Mary was a home maker, volunteer at the humane society, artist, and so much more. She took great pride in her work. When she was not working around the house or volunteering, she was donating her artwork, quilting, canning food, and rescuing animals. She was a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all. Mrs. Mary J. Kesterson was a one-of-a-kind woman and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by sons: Larry Kesterson of Mena, Arkansas and David Bailey of Horatio, Arkansas

Anne Maye Casey, age 71, of Cove, Arkansas, died Thursday, May 28, 2020, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on Friday, April 8, 1949, to Jessie Charles and Faye Lucille Martin Broach in Hatton, Arkansas.

 

Anne was a Christian woman who spent her life caring for her family. The love for her family guided her life and filled it with happiness. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cookbooks, long nature walks, sewing, quilting, and camping with her family. Anne was very proud of all her family and cherished every moment she had with them. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Judy Joyce, and Loretta Miller; and three brothers, Alfred Broach, Jessie Broach, and Tom Broach.

Patola “Pat” B. Harrison, age 88, formerly of Board Camp, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Pat was born on September 6, 1931 in Opal, Arkansas to Arnold and Cynthia Bates. She was a poultry farmer and loved gardening. Pat also enjoyed reading and decorating. She and her husband Bill lived in Board Camp and were members of Board Camp Baptist Church since their 20’s. She lived out her faith each day and taught her children to trust the Lord no matter what happens in life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

William “Bill” G. Stokes, age 80 of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 in Mena.

Bill was born January 27, 1940 in Mena, Arkansas, to the late J.C. Stokes and the late Goldie Mae Sims Stokes. He served in the United States Airforce and worked for the Mena Street Department. Bill Dearly loved his family. He will be dearly missed by a host of friends and family.

James Hursh was born June 24, 1971, in Mena, Arkansas, to Charles Aurther Hursh and Thelma Cearley Hammond. James was a kind-hearted man and was always willing to help others, in any way that he could. He had a passion for watching racecar. James also had his lifelong dream fulfilled when he had the opportunity to drive in his very own racecar. He never once let his disability hinder him. Mr. James Hursh was a son, a brother, and friend to all. He will be dearly missed.

Leo Lott

Leo Lott, age 88, of Hatfield, Arkansas, died Friday, May 22, 2020, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on Tuesday, June 9, 1931, to Lee Warney and Ruby Sarah Strother Lott in Ink, Arkansas.

Leo was a man of God with great faith and attended the Mena Church of God. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and quickly proved himself by attaining an E-6 rank in just two years. Leo was a beloved schoolteacher who taught at Acorn for twenty-seven years before retiring. He had a passion for education, after only going to school until 8th grade, he attained his GED, undergraduate degree from Lee University in Tennessee and finally his masters degree from Henderson State University. Leo was a very compassionate man and cared greatly for every student and child that crossed his path. It is clear he made a real difference in many lives. He was an incredibly hard worker and loved to work on equipment on his farm and take care of his cattle. Leo loved to fish and participated in many bass tournaments. He enjoyed gospel music, gardening, and time spent with all his friends he made in the area since childhood. Every minute spent with his grandchildren was full of love. Leo loved his wife, Doris, and all his children with all his heart. He was a dedicated teacher who was proud to serve God, Family, and Country. Leo was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Herman Lott; one brother in law, Fred Lange; and three sisters in law, Shirley Lott, Edith Lott, and Sandy Lott.

Glen Aurther Slarrow, age 74 of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Thursday May 21, 2020.

Glen Slarrow was born January 24, 1946 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, to the late Dewey Slarrow and Vivian Murdock Slarrow. He was married to the love of his life, Mrs. Sandy Slarrow. Mr. Slarrow served in the United States Army and was deployed on two tours in Vietnam. As a part of his civilian life, he worked for the airlines as a ground crew member. In his free time, Glen enjoyed spending time with his beloved cats, take spontaneous drives to see the country, and constantly tinkering and building things. He was known for his kind heart and his urge to help everyone he met. Mr. Glen Slarrow was a husband, son, brother, and friend to all. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by brother: Roger Slarrow and wife, Sheila of Mena, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Slarrow; father, Dewey Slarrow; mother, Vivian Murdock Slarrow; and brothers, Michael and Greg Slarrow.

Judy Ann Fruen Myers, age 70, of Hatfield, Arkansas, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at her home.

She was born June 15, 1949 in Bates, Arkansas to the late Ellis L. C. “Dick” Fruen and the late Ala “Evelyn” Pepper Fruen. She was united in marriage to Terry Myers until his passing. Judy worked at Aalf’s Clothing factory. She was a wonderful homemaker taking great pride in her home and yard. Judy enjoyed taking pictures, mostly of her family which were her favorite subjects. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Survivors are sons: Bruce Myers and wife Carolyn of Wichita Falls, Texas and Randy Myers and wife Erin of Mena, Arkansas

Harold Ray Riley, age 75 of Mena, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Harold was born on August 23, 1944 to Nauflett Riley and Alma Ray (Crossland) Riley. He was united in marriage to Dee-Dee (Boeving) Riley, or as Harold called her, “Baby Cakes”, for 53 years. Harold attended the first vocational college in Arkansas, located in Pine Bluff, and became an Automotive Instructor. He taught at Rich Mountain Vo-tech and had numerous students throughout the years. After his retirement, Harold and his son Bear built his automotive shop, Riley’s Auto Air, that he maintained for many years. Harold’s passion was street rodding and re-building old cars. He and Dee-Dee helped his dear friend Mark Campbell put on the Mena car show for forty years. They made many friends all over the nation attending rod runs. Harold was also a bass guitar player in several bands including “Weird Harold and the Rubber Band” and “Jokers Wyld”. He was an antique toy collector, loved marbles, and was a member of the Elks Lodge. Harold started a tradition of finding four leaf clovers with his children that has continued with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Harold is survived by his wife, Dee-Dee of the home; son, Bear Riley and wife Donna of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; daughter, Christi Horton and husband Brian of Missouri; grandchildren, Devin, Angel, Brent, Logan, Tyler, Taylor, and Lacey; great-grandchildren, Cooper and Oliver Riley, Izabelle, Landon, and Spencer; brother, Clark Riley of Utah; sister, Doris Short of Virginia; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Stewart and husband Scott, Phillip Riley, Ronnie Short, James Short, Mike Short, Steve Short, T.J., Justin, Andrew, Matt, and Emily; numerous great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Jody Boeving; and sister-in-law, Star Geoghahn.

Joyce Ann Higgins

Joyce Ann Higgins, age 70, of Smithville, Oklahoma died Friday, May 15, 2020 at the Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born on Tuesday, June 14, 1949 to Leroy and Bessie Louise Brown Sharp in Florence, Arizona.

Joyce was a lady of faith and had a love for her family; her children and grandchildren were the most important aspect of her life. Joyce graduated High School with honors and received the Betty Crocker Scholarship. She worked many years as a billing specialist for multiple Home Health agencies. She was a hard worker and enjoyed crafting, crocheting, and spending time in Hobby Lobby. Joyce was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roy Sharp, and a sister, Catherine Sharp.

Kenneth Grenz

October 13, 1932 - May 13, 2020

 

Kenneth P. Grenz, age 87, of Mena, Arkansas died Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at his home in Mena. He was born on Thursday, October 13, 1932 to Paul and Edna Pauline Gaede Grenz in Hitchcock, Oklahoma.

 

Kenneth served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as a medic and was Honorably Discharged. He was a person that served God and his fellow man with all his heart. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mena where he served Elder and Deacon and a Sabbath school teacher. Kenneth was a member of the Ouachita Amateur Radio Club, American Radio Relay League. Kenneth was an electrical engineer and enjoyed woodworking, Amateur radios and gardening. Kenneth was a loving father, brother, uncle and a great friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

 

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elouise Grenz and two sons, Lloyd Grenz and Randy Bronner.

Velda Janell Waldrop Watkins, age 78, of Vandervoort left this life for her eternal heavenly home on Wednesday, May 13th, 2020.

 

She was born the daughter of R. C. and Flossie Tilley Waldrop in King, Arkansas on December 26th, 1941.

She was a member of Vandervoort First Baptist Church since she was 12 years old, where she filled many roles over the years including playing the piano and organ and teaching all ages of Sunday School classes.

She loved reading, gardening, music, cooking, and writing books, and most of all spending time with her family. She was a loved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Preceded in by death by her father R.C. Waldrop, her mother Flossie Waldrop, and a granddaughter Emma Cumpton.

Left to mourn her one brother, Dale Waldrop and wife Pam of Fordyce, Arkansas.

Four children, John G. Watkins and wife Merisa, Gloria Strother and husband Nick, James Watkins and wife Janet, and Regina Cumpton and husband David all of Vandervoort.

Ten grandchildren: Paige Lee and husband Kenny of Dierks, Arkansas; Ethan Watkins and wife Sarah of Vandervoort; Jared Strother of Vandervoort, Kevin Strother and wife Whitney of Keota, Oklahoma; Jordan Strother and wife Karlie of Carthage, Texas; Brian Strother of Vandervoort; Jessica Salley and husband Josh of Converse, Louisiana; Morgan Watkins and fiancé Nate Looney of Monticello, Arkansas; Garrett Watkins of Vandervoort; and Cara Cumpton of Vandervoort.

Eunice Vernell Nance, age 71, of Mena, Arkansas died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at her home. She was born on Thursday, March 10, 1949 to Sylvester Lenear and Viola Marjorie Elliott Walker in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

 

Eunice was a lady of faith and love for her family. Her home and her family she made with her husband, Gene was the most important aspect of her life. Eunice loved to cook and make her Lemon Meringue Pies for her family to enjoy. She worked 10 years as the clerk for Sun Country Inn in Mena and also the First Care Clinic in Mena. Eunice enjoyed the simple things of life and being with family. Eunice was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents.

 

Eunice is survived by her loving husband Gene Nance of Mena; her daughters and sons in law, Julie and Aaron Stancil of Horatio, Arkansas and Christy and John Nance of Mena; her brothers, Phillip Hensley of Wickes and Samuel Walker of Grannis; five grandchildren, Colby Stancil of Gillham, Courtney Stancil of Horatio, Caitlyn Stancil of Horatio, Laci Stancil of Horatio and Lindsay Onstad of Tempe, Arizona; several nephews and nieces and a host of other family and friends.

 

A graveside funeral will be Friday, May 15, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at the Grannis Cemetery under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena. We suggest that social distancing is in place and other recommendations set forth by the Governor of Arkansas still be observed. Visitation will be general. Harold Gene Deramus, 84 years old of Mena, Arkansas died on Sunday, May 10, 2020. He passed on to his heavenly reward surrounded by his loving family while at home from complications of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.

Harold was born on February 17, 1936 in Los Cruses, New Mexico to Arvin and Willa Taylor Deramus. He was the brother of Sharon Deramus Bailey of California and the late Betty Deramus Harper.

He graduated from Arvin High School in 1954. On December 19, 1955 he married his high school sweetheart, Carol Louise Avilez, of Arvin, California when he was 19 and she was 15. They were married for 64 ½ years.

He started his work career in California as a tree trimmer. He later began building swimming pools and went on to start a pool cleaning business, which he later sold when he moved his family from California to Mena, Arkansas. He began his work career in Arkansas as a chicken farmer and cattleman. He also helped his uncles in the logwoods using mules to skid the logs to the trucks. In 1979 he began a long career as a carpenter. He built houses all over Mena and the surrounding area. He finished his work career as a cement contractor and he was still finishing cement when he was 79 years old. He was known around town as an extremely hard worker, worthy of hire.

He was a member of the Mena Street Church of Christ, where he was a song leader and bible class teacher and on occasion he was known to fill in as a preacher.

Harold was a teacher, not a formal teacher but an informal teacher of life skills. He spent his entire life working and teaching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren the value of hard work and living for Christ. He lived Deuteronomy 6:6-7; faith and family made up his foundation. He lived by example and when warranted a very firm hand!

Harold was a quiet man who took his responsibilities and obligations seriously. He didn’t talk a lot but he had a few sayings that his family will remember and carry with them all the days of their lives. He most often said, “Where there is the opportunity, there is the obligation”. Dad was the spiritual rock thrown into a pond…the ripples will go out from generation to generation.

Harold is survived by his wife, Carol Deramus of Mena, Arkansas; his daughter, Mary Holland and husband Jack Holland of Mena, Arkansas; his son, Danny Deramus and wife Robbie of Judsonia, Arkansas; his daughter, Cindy Turner and husband Steve Turner of Murfreesboro, Arkansas; his daughter, Debbie Caster and husband Charlie Caster of Greenwood, Arkansas; Bob Blackburn his brother in Christ of Camden, Arkansas; Sixteen grandchildren; Launa Erskin, Bobby Blackburn, Christa Divis, David Holland, Wes Dowdy, Brent Erskin, Rebecca Davis, Jackie Scoggin, Andrew Dowdy, Kimberly Austin, Trey Caster, Jason Deramus, Anna Fultz, Jessica Coffey, Devin Brown and William Caster and 28 Great Grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by: his father, Arvin Deramus; his mother, Willa Deramus; his sister, Betty Deramus Harper; his brother-in-law, who was as a son to him, George Avilez and his Great Granddaughter, Addison Phoenix Dowdy.

His memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Beasley Wood Funeral Home Chapel. His son, Danny Deramus and his grandson, Bobby Blackburn will be the officiants and his grandsons, David, Wes, Brent, Andrew, Trey, Jason and William will be honorary pallbearers. A private family inurnment will be held at the Cherry Hill cemetery in Cherry Hill, Arkansas.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to his caregivers, Sheila Hanson and Debbie Alley.

Wesley Drew Cureton, age 82 of Mena, Arkansas passed away Friday, May 8, 2020 in Mena, Arkansas.

He was born in Vandervoort, Arkansas on May 4, 1938 to the late Thomas Dalton Cureton and Vona Fair Cureton.

Mr. Wesley Cureton was married to the love of his life, Sherill Cureton for 60 years. Wesley was an auto mechanic and logger and enjoyed spending his free time outdoors doing activities such as fishing, hunting, camping, and riding around in the woods. But most of all, he adored spending time with his precious grandchildren and sending his praises to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mr. Cureton will be dearly missed.

Bessie A. Pitingoro, age 93 of Mena, Arkansas passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Ansonia, Connecticut on May 11, 1926 to the late Nicola Giannone and Theresa Guagenti.

Mrs. Pitingoro loved taking care of her family and home. Bessie enjoyed cooking; and in her spare time, she loved reading a good book. She faithfully worshipped her lord and savior Jesus Christ and loved going to church. Her church group were some of her favorite people to be with. She was a loving mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Mrs. Pitingoro will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Edna Mae Barrett, age 87, of Vandervoort, Arkansas passed away May 6, 2020 in Mena.

Edna Mae was born April 27, 1933 to the late Charlie Smedley and the late Jenny Mae Milam Smedley. She was united in marriage to Wesley Neal Barrett on August 5, 1950. She worked with Wesley in the woods hauling post and in the Barrett’s Gulf Service Station. She worked hard fixing flats and changing oil in the station. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend.

Paul Samuel Headings, beloved husband of Kourtney Jane (Kempf) was born June 15, 1985, to David and Janice (Kempf) Headings at Mena, AR. He passed away on May 5, 2020 at the age of 34 years 10 months 20 days.

He was found at the base of his ladder while working alone at the gable end of a house in Cherry Hill, Arkansas.

He accepted Christ and was baptized in his youth, and was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Amish Mennonite Church at the time of his death.

On April 6, 2007 he was united in marriage to Kourtney Jane Kempf, daughter of Frank and Emily Kempf at Mena, AR. They shared the joys and sorrows of life together for a little over 13 years. To this union was born 1 daughter Penelope Jane, age 3.

Paul was a very active and hardworking person. He had his share of injuries and seemed to have a high pain tolerance and was quick to be on his feet and going again. He loved to visit with people and his quick smile made him a friend to many people. He loved his family was deeply dedicated to his church family. His nightly bedtime stories and “popcorn” (cracking knee joints) ritual with Penelope can’t be replaced. He loved football, volleyball, and many other sports. His love of water was unmatched. It didn’t matter if it was frozen or warm. He loved wakeboarding and loved taking ski and board trips with family and friends. He loved hunting too. Many a happy hour he spent out in the woods in the fall. Usually outdoing many of his peers. He had a successful commercial roofing business and was truly passionate about it, he really enjoyed when his wife and daughter went along to look at roof prospects. Going to the national Conklin convention, spring Roofing Seminar and other Conklin events were a highlight of his life. You could see the passion on his face when talking about his roofing business.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 8, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Amish Mennonite Church with Rodney Knox, Dan Hostetler, Kenrick Shrock and Paul Hostetler officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Headings, Jesse Headings, Ben Headings, Dustin Kempf, BJ Kempf, Terrell Kropf, Westin Kropf, Monte Hostetler, Jethro Burkholder and Houston Headings.

Bonnie Faye Hughes Heavener, age 92 of Mena, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at her home.

She was born September 2, 1927 in Acorn, Arkansas to the late John Hughes and Bertha Moore Hughes.

Bonnie loved taking care of her home and her family. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening and she was a great people person. Bonnie, being a cancer survivor, paid it forward by volunteering with hospice for 15 years. She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Mena. She loved life and was a tremendous woman of faith sharing her testimony and love to others. Bonnie adored her “boys”; grandsons and great grandsons. Her life and light touched so many people, in fact, at her 80th birthday party there were over 200 people in attendance, a testament to the lives she touched. The most important thing she shared with her family and others was to seek the Lord and to make sure you know where you will spend eternity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Heavener, sisters Victoria Robinson and Euva Overturf and her brother Ed Hughes.

Bonnie will be sent for cremation under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. There are no services planned at this time but family will plan a celebration of her life at a later date.
 

David Daniel Hogue

David Daniel Hogue, age 17, of Mena, Arkansas passed away May 2, 2020. David was born November 14, 2002 and was preceded in death by his mother, Janie Nerie and Grandpa Greg Rogers Sr. and Aunt Natalie Gamble.

David was an avid skateboarder, loved his music, a very hard worker, and had a heart of gold. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews as well as his friends and family. David had a smile you would never forget, so happy all the time. To know him was to love him as he will be missed deeply!

We are here today to celebrate the life of our brother and friend Brother James Edward Coogan, Sr. who went to be with His Lord May 3, 2020 being 85 years 3 months 28 days. Brother James was born January 5, 1935 at Chery Hill, Arkansas to the late Willie Clem Coogan and Sylvia Melcena Howard Coogan.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, John Edward Coogan and Lizzie Pettit Coogan; James Alfred Howard and Deliah Rowton Howard. Two sisters, Odel Coogan and Rosy Beth Coogan Lewis. Two Nephews, Paul Sewell and John Perron. He is survived by his wife Florene Elizabeth Ferguson Coogan of the home. One brother John Alfred Coogan. Three sons, Edward Lee Coogan, James Edward Coogan, Jr. and Brian Christopher Coogan, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one brother-in-law; Virgil Lewis all of Clarksville, Arkansas. One stepson; Dennis Dilbeck and one step- grandson all of Waldron, Arkansas.

He was a timber and factory worker by trade.

He worked 17 ½ years at Thermo-Tile in Clarksville, AR. Moved back to Mena, Arkansas in 1994 when he worked at the Polk County Court House for 5 years, helped deliver the Ouachita Trading Post for 9 ½ years, Co-Owner of Coogan’s Lawn Service. He was a member of Bible Believers Baptist Church of Mena, Arkansas. Brother James was a guitar player for Jesus wherever he had the opportunity and was a great prayer warrior.

Funeral services will be held at Bible Believers Baptist Church of Mena on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Jerry Musgrove officiating. Sheila Marie Boldrey

Sheila Marie Boldrey, age 58, of Cove, Arkansas died Friday, May 1, 2020 at the Mena Regional Health System. She was born on Sunday, November 5, 1961 to Christopher S. and Joan M. Miller Martinsen in Norwood, Massachusetts.

Sheila was a loving Christian woman with a big heart. She proudly served in the United States Navy as a Third Class Petty Officer, from 1981 to 1985. Sheila later worked at the Mena Wal-Mart for seventeen years in the Health and Beauty Department. She loved all animals, butterflies, and rainbows. She always enjoyed working in her flower beds and listening to Classic Rock like AC/DC. She adored her family and cherished every minute spent with her grandchildren. Sheila was a loving wife, mother, daughter, aunt, grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Christopher Martinsen; and one brother, John Martinsen.

Sheila is survived by her loving husband, William Boldrey of Cove; her mother, Joan Martinsen of Norwood, Massachusetts; one son and daughter in law, James and Lacey Boldrey; two grandchildren, Keturah Luciano of Palm Desert, California, and Aspen Boldrey of Hatfield; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Jerry Allen Long, born April 24, 1949 in Barton, Arkansas, passed away on May 3, 2020 in Mena, Arkansas.

Jerry is survived by two sons, Jerry Allen Long, Jr. of El Paso, Texas and Jacob Long of Boise, Idaho, one stepson, Tory Ryan of Port Orchard, Washington and one stepdaughter, Mylie Dahlke. Brothers Larry Smith of Lewiston, Idaho and William Long, Jr. of Mena, Arkansas and sister Letha Ashcraft of Cove, Arkansas, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.

Jerry played and sang country music most of his life and loved joking and making people laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Ronald Ward Stuart of Burleson, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 28th, 2020 in Mansfield, Texas.

Ron was born on February 29, 1948 in Virginia, to Bernice Vivian Farmer and Thomas Everett Stuart. A devoted family man, Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, Texas food, and music. As a chemical engineer, working for Miller Brewing Company, Ron was an accomplished professional. Ron was a man of great integrity. He will be remembered for being humble and kind to all. His loving wife Lydia, many friends, and loving family will miss him dearly.
