Joseph Keith Savage, age 60, of Mena, Arkansas passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He was born on Thursday, December 7, 1961, to Leland M. Savage and Lois (Batts) Savage in Kinston, North Carolina. Joseph was a loving man who wore many hats in his lifetime. He joined the Air Force as a young man and became a jet engine mechanic. This would be his job for many years. While serving in the Air Force, Joseph had the opportunity to travel to many countries including Germany and Japan as well as fighting fires in a C130 in Idaho and Hawaii. Joseph was an E5 Sargent and served in Desert Storm. Prior to retiring he received many medals and honors for his service. Among his many awards, Joseph received a good conduct medal as well as an organizational excellence award. It was in the Air Force that Joseph was given the nickname of "Tidy Joe". These two awards would continue to have an impact on the way Joseph lived for the remainder of his life. Joseph was a very organized man and was thought to have been one of the most well mannered and kindest men his family had encountered. He loved everyone and was always looking out for their best interest. Joseph loved his Heavenly Father and was a Priest in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for 6 years. He enjoyed sitting on the porch on the swing with his loving wife and son Michael. Joseph found peace in listening to his children talk and watching his grandkids play. He truly felt all was well with the world when they were in his presence. Joseph was passionate about the 2nd Amendment and enjoyed listening to classic rock. He loved to joke and was a classic car enthusiast. Joseph was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Jolina Savage; three sons, Cody Martin and wife Dorothy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Justin Savage and wife Julie of Norman, Oklahoma, and Michael Savage of Mena, Arkansas; three daughters, Jessica Ritter and husband Tim of Weatherford, Texas, Andreana Poeling and husband Rodney of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Danielle Martin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two brothers, Wade Savage and wife Michelle of Semi Valley, California and Dwight Savage and wife Denise of Semi Valley, California; one sister, Deborah Grace of Sequim, Washington; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Mena, Arkansas. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 9:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints prior to the service. Jessica Jenai Mann, age 21, of Cove, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 in Hatfield, Arkansas. She was born on Thursday, September 14, 2000 to Claude Everett Elder and LaDonna Michelle Smith in Wellington, Kansas.

Jessica was bubbly, funny and so full of life. She radiated brightness and happiness. Jessica had a tender big heart and she loved to have fun with her family. She enjoyed the outdoors and often would ride horses and four wheelers or even just sit by the river and listen to it flow. Jessica also liked to fish and buck hunt. She was very adventurous and could always be counted on to join a road trip to anywhere. She was a very talented cook and just recently made shrimp alfredo, from scratch, for her mother. Jessica was very good at billiards and loved playing in her Mom's tournaments. She liked all kinds of music but her favorite was Country music, she listened very closely to lyrics and the meanings of the songs. Jessica was proud of getting her GED and completing her CNA classes to become a CNA. She was excited to start classes in the Fall and aspired to be a physical therapist. Jessica lived in the moment, through many struggles in her life she was always thankful she got through them with the love and support of her family.

She was deeply loved by all her family. Jessica was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, cousin, niece and friend and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. She is preceded in death by her sister, Reagan Michelle Bradshaw. Jessica is survived by her mother and step father, LaDonna Smith and Tommy Fall of Cove, Arkansas; three brothers, Grant Greenwell of Trumann, Arkansas, Michael Elder of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Logan Dean Withem of Cove; one sister, Ashton Brooke Smith of Cove; four grandmothers, Bernita Claudine Elder of Wellington, Kansas, Anita Sue Mayfield of Wilton, Arkansas, Mary Smith of Wynne, Arkansas, and "Nana" Kathy Fall of Cove; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Jessica will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove, Arkansas with Brother Reggie Fryar officiating under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas. General visitation will be during office hours on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Bowser Family Funeral Home.

Edna Irene Pettigrew, age 77, of Mena, Arkansas passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the home of her friends and caregivers, Lisa and Jim Bradley in Pencil Bluff, Arkansas. She was born on Sunday, January 21, 1945 to Benjamin Stricklin and Nettie (Yandell) Stricklin in Hatfield, Arkansas.

Edna was a kind and loving woman. She was an elementary teacher who spent the majority of her career caring for and teaching the students of Wickes Elementary. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed playing cards, reading, putting puzzles together, drinking Dr. Pepper, and spending every chance she had with her grandchildren. Edna was a talented artist. She was born in Hatfield and grew up on Six Mile Creek with some of the county's finest women. Her bond with the Stricklin and Miller women made her strong and taught her to put others ahead of herself. Edna and Carroll raised four beautiful, amazing, talented, and humble Godly children of whom she was very proud and who also worked together to write this obituary. Edna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Cary Stricklin, Calvin Stricklin, Omen Stricklin, and David Stricklin; and two sisters, Bonnie Richardson and Claudia Critser; and close family friends, Bob and Sue Piearcy.

Edna is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Carroll Pettigrew; one son, Chad Pettigrew of Mena, Arkansas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Benji Ferguson and husband Donnie of Mena, Arkansas, Channa Lay and husband Rodney of Mena, Arkansas, and Megan Parker and husband Jason of Magnet Cove, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Emily Smith and husband Kyle, Dustyn Battaglia and husband Thomas, Madison Lowe and husband Loren, R.J. Parker and wife Bayley, Lane Ferguson and wife Harley, Lauren Lay and Aaron Lay; three great grandchildren, River Smith, Josie Parker, and Theodore Battaglia; two sisters, Georgia Marchand and Jean Snellgrove; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, April 22, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena, Arkansas. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Daniel Cemetery Chapel in Wickes, Arkansas with Brother Mark Lyle and Brother Dale Dailey officiating.

Randy Wayne McGowan, age 60, of Mena, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at his home. He was born on Saturday, May 6, 1961 to James McGowan and Sylvia (Hooper) McGowan in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Randy was a simple country boy. He enjoyed living in a small town and doing anything that involved the outdoors or the lake. Randy liked to BBQ and cook out on the grill any chance he got. He was a plumber by trade and ran his own construction business at one time. Randy enjoyed listening to country music and hanging out with his sister Tami. They would work outside or just run around doing simple things all while making memories together. Randy was a loving son, grandfather, dad, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, James McGowan; one brother, Louis McGowan; two loving sons, Matthew McGowan and Randy Grace.

Randy is survived by one son, Robert McGowan of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one sister Tami Gattis of Mena, Arkansas; one brother, James McGowan of Spring, Texas; 7 grandchildren; and special friend Rickey Morse; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rev. Sue Emmons Hart, age 74, of Mena, Arkansas passed away peacefully with her family present Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on June 4, 1947 to Aaron Jefferson Emmons and Patsy Marie Davlin Emmons in Whitehouse, Texas.

She married the love of her life, Rev. Perry Hart, December 22, 1966. Together they ministered in Texas, Alaska and Arkansas. Sue was known as a woman of faith in God. She always believed that there is no limit to what God can do. She loved telling others of all that God had done in her life with miracles and blessings.

Sue loved to sing, work on Genealogy, and sewing, but she always felt like her family came first.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Perry Hart; and daughter Lydia Charlie of Minto, Alaska, her sisters, Virginia Garrett, Jeanette Rodgers and Janelle Booker and one brother, Jeff Emmons.

Sue is survived by three sons, Joey Hart and wife Kjari of Fairbanks, Alaska; Brandon Hart of Mena, Arkansas and Billy Joe Hart of Mena, Arkansas; three daughters, Dianna De La Garza and husband, Eddie of Los Angeles, California, Julie Moe and husband, Mike of Mena, Arkansas and Katherine Hart of Conway, Arkansas; twenty four grandchildren, one great grandchild; one brother-in-law, Chuck Booker; nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM in Detroit, Texas at the Detroit Assembly of God for both Perry and Sue Hart with internment following at Knights Of Honor Cemetery in Blossom, Texas. Laraine Murphy, age 86, of Hatfield, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Bear Creek Healthcare in DeQueen, Arkansas. She was born on Sunday, August 25, 1935 to Vernon Fields and Beaulah Fincher Fields in Oroville, California.

Laraine was a very private woman, but very kind. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidery, loved reading books of any kind. Laraine attended the Penuel Church in Hatfield and loved listening to Gospel music. She enjoyed reading and alone time. She liked to bake cookies on occasion with her friends, Connie Buck and Leroy Buck of Hatfield. Laraine was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, James Keith Murphy; and one grandson, Kenny Pasalaqua.

Laraine is survived by four daughters and sons in law, Joann and Greg Peck of Portland, Oregon, Ellen Murphy of San Leando, California, Sandra Reid of Portland, Oregon, and Barbara and Gerhard Hicks Sr. of Wickes; ten grandchildren, James Pasalaqua, Joseph Hicks, Gerhard Hicks Jr., Keith Hicks, Erica Peck, Kristy Craig, Tim Craig, Robert Craig; two great grandchildren, Trevor Hicks, Benjamin Foster, and two close friends, Leroy and Connie Buck and a host of other relatives and friends.
